We are excited to share about two screenings this month.

Aweil, South Sudan

Helena Puig Larrauri and Michaela Ledesma, co-organizers of Build Peace, reached out to us to bring the film to their good work in South Sudan. Helena wrote:

The project in Aweil will introduce a group of people to participatory video as a means and process to share their voices about ongoing conflicts and tensions in their community. The screening will contribute to dialogue on different ways to spread peace messages.

We produced PEACE IN OUR POCKETS for just this kind of project and love that their screening event will strengthen and advance their creative uses of media and technology.

“Responsible Data for Humanitarian Response” Conference, Leiden University, The Hague.

The organizers of the conference are bringing together leaders in the field of humanitarian response from public and private sectors as well as academia and NGOs to focus on addressing the data deficit in humanitarian response, the necessity of human-centered design, and the role of data in governance. We’re very happy that Kevin Sudi, one of the Kenyan activists featured in the film, will be attending the conference and participating in a post-screening Q&A.
